Freedom Yurt Cabins are the first solid-walled yurt on the market to be competitively priced with similarly-equipped fabric yurts. The Yurt Cabin comes standard with features that cost thousands of dollars as upgrades from fabric yurt manufacturers.
For those seeking a traditional log cabin kit, our unique round design maximizes space, structural strength, and energy efficiency. The all-wood construction highlighted by Lodgepole Pine logs keeps true to the look and feel of a traditional log cabin. View Yurt Cost Comparison Chart»
The Yurt Cabin’s wood walls let the customer choose virtually any Behr paint colors on the interior and the exterior. Additionally, choose from hundreds of options for the valance and awning fabrics from Sunbrella’s Marine Grade collection. The attractive round log framing and rafters are beautifully finished with Weatherall UV Guard wood stain, and gaps are sealed with Weatherall Log Cabin Caulking.

The Yurt Cabin’s eco-friendly design gives it a light environmental footprint. It doesn’t need permanent cement footings like most yurt installations. It can be set up on concrete pavers and is secured to the ground using Duckbill earth anchors. Unlike a fabric yurt installed on a deck or concrete slab, the Yurt Cabin can be disassembled and relocated with minimal impact.
Additionally, the Lodgepole Pine round log framing is made from trees harvested through healthy forest initiatives. Even the treated, engineered LP SmartSide® wall panels are certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative®. The Yurt Cabin’s tight construction, full insulation, and low-E, double-pane glass windows make for an extremely energy-efficient structure. View our Unique Features»
Most yurt manufacturers claim you can build a yurt in a day or two. What you may not realize is that that the yurt platform (a deck or a concrete slab) is the most difficult and expensive part of the construction project. This step can take the average DIYer a week or more to complete before the yurt can be assembled on top of it. Freedom Yurt Cabins are engineered as an integral unit from the ground up, greatly simplifying and expediting the assembly process. You really can go from kit to cabin in 3-5 days! Then, your Yurt Cabin is built to last a lifetime like a permanent house, but can also be disassembled and moved if desired. Request a Quote Today»
